What is Rotational Molding?
Rotational molding, also known as “ roto-molding,” is a method of production that forms hollow parts of boundless size. The method produces plastic parts, and is incredibly cost-effective.
Resins are added into a mold that’s heated and rotated slowly, both vertically and horizontally. The concurrent heating and rotation disperses and fuses the resin on the inner surfaces of the mold. This results in a product that contains seamless parts with even wall thickness with more material in corners to absorb shocks and stresses where they occur most.
